Shield On!

Welcome to the Sanctum, this is a place between worlds. Internet threats have taken over the once peaceful towns of Openopolis and Honestopolis! It is your destiny to uncover these threats and destroy them. Your only defense against cyber attacks is a mystical shield named Shield’on. With the help of your companion, you must explore the worlds and free them from cyber threats and uncover the source of the invasion. You will encounter great danger therefore shield thyself on your quest! 

Shield on! is a VR action game that teaches digital literacy skills through simulated cyber threat attacks like catfishing and misinformation. The game centers fun and immersive gameplay, while provided information and scenarios that simulate threats in our everyday lives while living in an ever-evolving digital and technological world.

This experience was developed for the XR Brain Jam at Microsoft during the Games for Change Festival in New York City in 2022
